Systems Upgrades for 5000% Growth

Overview

Client is a $600M omnichannel home goods retailer with 360 stores across the Client experienced 4000% growth - $0.77 (March-20) $32.09 (May-21) in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic which severely impacted or broke most of its major systems, beginning with eCommerce but cascading through the entire enterprise. Leadership called upon Paragon and its team of tech leaders to first triage and then roadmap plan. 

Approach

Paragon delivered vital insight to the CEO, BOD and management team that implementing a missing customer data platform (CDP) would be the key tentpole in a strategy to deepen and expand the evolving omnichannel customer relationship (curbside pickup, endless aisle…). The strategy integrated people, process and technology.

Results
Company is on track to increase it’s direct sourcing (and margins) from approximately 20% of purchases in 2020 to 70% by 2025 thanks to the integration of CDP+PIM/DAM+OMS+WMS that helps company tune it’s product development, marketing, merchandising, sales and supply chain, using closed-loop customer data as a north star. Paragon helped onboard the company’s CTO and a cross-company Center of Data Excellence.
